Armand & Gaston 2018 — guez from one of the best Belgian lambic breweries 3 Fonteinen, which is located in the village of Lot in the lands of the historical region of Piottenland. The establishment with the name 3 Fonteinen has existed since 1883 year, in the second half of the 20th the the de Belder family acquired the brand and  to the legendary lambic brewery. For the production of varieties from the line "Cuvee Armand& Gaston" use lambics brewed exclusively by 3 Fonteinen.

The production technology is complex and expensive: lambics are first aged in barrels for a long time, and then the finished blend languishes in a bottle for at least a year. The term "cuvee" in winemaking means that varieties from the best lots were used for the production of the drink, so in lambic breweries. It is not without reason that the bottles of this line are decorated with the names Armand and Gaston, because Armand De Belder — founder of 3 Fonteinen of the modern type, and Gaston — the best blend master, brewer and, concurrently, the son of Armand. The term "assemblage" means a blend of lambics of different ages. All such assemblages of 3 Fonteinen are numbered for a reason — each of them has a completely unique character and taste characteristics, even within the same style. Armand & Gaston 2018 (Assemblage 54) consists of five different lambics aged in 7 different barrels.

The color of the drink is deep golden yellow. There are a lot of shades in the aroma, in which the rebellious spirit of yeast cultures of spontaneous fermentation is guessed: hay, green apple, quince, damp earth, horse blanket, feijoa and barrel. The taste of the drink is contradictory simple and complex. The perfect balance and  lightness hide a whole universe of shades and  midtones. Sourness dominates at all stages, which at first can repel, but after a couple of sips it will conquer forever. Style «gueuze» It can certainly be called unique, and Fonteinen varieties are the best in their style.

We recommend serving 3 Fonteinen Oude Geuze Cuvee Armand & Gaston with fresh salads, seafood dishes or European soft cheeses. Ideal serving temperature 8 — 10°C. Rating at Ratebeer 100/100

We have launched a new Beer Altas, and we can’t wait to introduce you to its new products! The legendary PAUWEL KWAK is back — a beer served in a special flask-shaped glass in a wooden base.
